Fast growing, heavy cutting and large framed
We aim to breed a superior duel-purpose merino which are fast growing, heavy cutting and large framed. At 12 months of wool our Stud ewes will average 7.3 kg and have an average live weight of 84 kg. Fullerton Merino rams will increase productivity by introducing long and stylish medium fine wool on an animal that will ‘hang heavy on the hook’ when it comes to selling surplus stock.
Fullerton Merino Stud’s biggest asset is fertility. In the last 4 years our lambing percentage has averaged 105%. In a cold and wet environment during lambing, this is not easy to do. Our merinos are hardy, un-housed and easy-care.
